Welcome to my gallery. I'm an amateur landscape/architectural photographer. Influences are Edward Hopper, Grant Wood, Erwin Hillier, and Jack Cardiff.
Photos on this site were taken with a variety of cameras - ranging from a vintage Agfa Ambi Sillete rangefinder, to the modern equivalent of the poor man's Leica - the Epson R-D1 digital rangefinder (a beautiful piece of industrial design that also happens to be a wonderful picture-taking tool. In between are film cameras from Nikon (F80), Mamiya (645 Super), Yashica (124G), and lesser compacts and the like. Until recently my primary camera was a D70. Great, but it divorced me too much from the fun of picture taking and I found I was shooting less and less. In comparison the R-D1 is a joy to use - simple, intuitive, and you'd be hard-pressed to spot it wasn't a film camera. The soul is back in my photography! |
